This review was honestly going to be a one-star review before we were introduced to George Matri. I am a first-generation Australian born to immigrant parents. I came in to help my friend from church with her niece who is a permanent resident and struggles with the language barrier My friend struggles with speaking English, they are soft-spoken, humble, and trusting, some would even say easily led or misguided. Walking into a car dealership, I already felt on edge knowing how easily people like them can be taken advantage of. The initial salesman spoke to my parents in a forced accent and slowed his speech as if they were unintelligent. It was uncomfortable and honestly upsetting to witness. It felt like they were being pushed into a car that didn’t truly benefit them, but clearly benefited the salesman. The entire interaction felt like we were being backed into a corner with no way out, pressured rather than guided. Instead of feeling supported, we felt trapped. Then we were introduced to George. To be completely honest, the way George looks was a bit scary at first haha but that impression disappeared within seconds. George has the most genuine smile, the most beautiful soul, and an energy that immediately puts you at ease. From the moment he sat down with us, everything changed. What had felt forced suddenly became understanding. George spoke to my Friends like human beings. He didn’t “dumb things down,” didn’t put on a fake accent, and never once made them feel less than. He explained everything clearly from start to finish, with professionalism, patience, and incredible knowledge. Most importantly, he listened. He genuinely understood what we needed and took the time to explain the pros and cons not only of what we wanted, but also of what the sales team had previously offered. Within a 20-minute conversation, I could physically see the stress leave my friendss. Their shoulders dropped, their voices softened, and they finally relaxed. That’s when the perfect car was found not because it was pushed on us, but because it actually suited our needs. George made us feel seen and understood. He explained the entire process from start to finish and never once showed frustration, even when my friends asked the same questions three or four times. Instead of rushing, he reassured them. Instead of pressuring, he guided them. Fortunately George took the time to find the information needed and found the perfect lender to suite my friend from church. Being her first time ever trying to finance a car George took the time to explain the process start to finish how to establish her file and put her in a position to better her future. Even knowing that nothing may come from it, George still took the time to explain exactly what needed to be done. He didn’t dismiss them. He didn’t rush them out the door. He showed genuine compassion and care with no expectation of personal gain And because of this the decision to purchase through him was an easy one. Thank you, George, for your honesty, compassion, and understanding. I can not thank you enough for being the first person to show my friends dignity and respect. I recommend George Matri massively to anyone who wants real honesty, clear direction, and someone who truly has your best interests at heart.
